Vocabulary Learning Strategies of Azerbaijani Students and its Relation to their Academic and Technical English Vocabulary Knowledge

With English turning into a global language among the people in all parts of world, it has played similarly essential role educational system Azerbaijan. Vocabulary is vital and inseparable part four skills activity learning. This research was aimed at investigating use various vocabulary learning strategies (VLSs) Azerbaijani engineering students. Moreover, overall frequency strategy explored by learners as high users, medium low users. The study also investigated students’ academic technical knowledge, finding that done relation to knowledge. descriptive-quantitative design employed this study. Two kinds instruments were utilized. A 60-item 30-item test an online questionnaire with 23-item employed. findings demonstrated there not significant relationship between VLSs knowledge indicated meta-cognitive included most least frequently used learners.
